Oh, the weather outside is frightful, or, at the very least, unsettled.  But the books inside are delightful.  We have lots of lovely books suitable for gift-giving.  It’s nice to hold a book in your hands, and an e-reader certainly can’t simulate that feel, or the beauty of the cover and interior illustrations.  We also have dozens and dozens of autographed modern first printings (most not expensive).

We also offer the Chinook Book, a compendium of coupons for local restaurants and shopping places (including our store, Tattered Cover, Gallagher Books, and Westside Books).  Regularly $20, we sell it for $15.

Gift certificates are available in any denomination of your choice.  They are attractive and come in matching envelopes for gift giving.

We have several books signed for us at Mile Hi Con by guests Glen Cook, Gardner Dozois and Vernor Vinge, as well as books by celebrated Denver and Regional authors.  We also still have signed copies of The Gathering Storm, by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, all of Connie Willis' titles, as well as books signed by local writers such as Mario Acevedo, Carrie Vaughn, Carol Berg, Robin Owens, David Boop, Julie Anne Peters, John Dunning, Laura Reeve and too many more to name right now.  To ask about a specific author or title or to order, call 303-744-BOOK (2665) or email us at info AT BroadwayBookMall.com. We can take cash, checks, most credit cards, and PayPal.

At our Grand Opening party, we made a special presentation to our phone and internet provider, Liberty Bell, www.303Bundles.com/29750.  They loved the early 1900's sheet music we found entitled "Liberty Bell". (We got it from our sheet music seller, TJ Music, right here in the store.)

Sunday, April 15, 6:00 p.m. – Colorado Homegrown Tales presents “Man, Machine, or Monster?” No, we’re not speculating about the ancestry of the IRS….but you can join us on “Tax Day” to journey through the realm of speculative fiction, with short stories by two of our favorite Colorado writers. James Van Pelt has a number of published short story collections & young adult fiction – the actors of Colorado Homegrown Tales will read one story from our state’s past, and one from a possible future (or could it be our present day?!). We’ll also feature another gem of a tale from Wayne Faust, who floats a theory that just might be all too real (insert evil laugh here)…

Join us for an evening of readings that will bring a smile to your face, as well as some chills down your spine. This event will repeat Saturday, April 21, 4 pm at the Byers-Evans House

Tickets are $10. Please call 720-233-0811 for ticket information; reservations recommended but not required (due to limited seating capacity).

We support Schlessman Public Library, 1st & Poplar in Denver, by providing books for their Colorado Authors Series,

which will begin

again in

Spring of 2012.

The Denver Book Mall closed August 31, 2009, but Ron and Nina were thrilled to be able to open a new book store, Broadway Book Mall, 200 S. Broadway, Denver, CO, southeast corner of Broadway and Cedar, just 3-1/2 blocks south of the Denver Book Mall location.  We brought with us 9 of the booksellers from the old store.  Great books, great people, great service and great parking.  REAL books for REAL people.

We've been open since August 4, 2009 and are thriving in our new location.  Please help us spread the word by linking to our web site and by telling absolutely everyone you know!
